Sadija A. Smiley is a nonprofit founder, bereaved mother, and grief advocate whose journey has been shaped by profound loss and unwavering dedication to helping others navigate similar challenges. Through SAILS, Sadija strives to raise awareness and foster a supportive environment for families who have experienced stillbirth, pregnancy, or infant loss.
Driven by her own experiences, Sadija's activism is deeply rooted in challenging the notion of grief and loss as a lifelong burden. Instead, she advocates for cultivating a community that finds purpose in their pain. Through education, events, and support groups, Sadija inspires grieving parents to find healing and empowerment. In addition to her work with SAILS, Sadija is an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, speaker, and author, dedicating her life to helping hearts heal and guiding others through their grief journeys. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she now resides in Maryland with her family, where she continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have experienced loss. |
