Senam has always been passionate about helping others. As she honed this passion, it took the form of ensuring that everyone has equal opportunity to achieve their full health.
Throughout her time at the University of Maryland, College Park, she learned about the health disparities faced by various minority populations, particularly women and women of color, and developed a particular interest in maternal health. She graduated from the University in 2023 with a B.A. in English Language and Literature and a B.S. in Public Health Science. Now a Health Equity candidate, she is committed to ensuring that the work she does in public health, and through SAILS, is community centered and allows people to feel empowered and to achieve their full health. |
